Best Edition Mass Effect Volume 1: Redemption with Free EASY Reading!

This comic tells part of the story of what happened to Shepard's body between the opening movie of Mass Effect 2, and the beginning of the actual game where Shepard first wakes up in the Cerberus facility. It's told from Liara's perspective, and follows the events she described briefly in the main game and more in the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC. You find out how she met Feron, and learn why she hates the Shadow Broker so much.Keep in mind, this is a comic, and done in comic book style. The art is good, reminiscent of the better Star Wars books published by Dark Horse. The characters and locations look like they are supposed to. Most of the characters are of the games' various alien species, and they look and talk like they do in game.The writing and story is typical of a comic, it focuses on action and combat. You don't get a huge amount of exposition, so if you're looking for every nuance of why the Collectors and Cerberus were racing for Shepard's body, you won't find that here.All in all, it's a good comic adaptation of the Mass Effect universe, worth the price if you enjoyed ME2.
